A fun night at the banquet. I saw lots of familiar faces from my childhood, such as waitresses from Emerald, clerks from 99 Ranch, and many of the people I saw when I went to temple as a child. Seeing them all really takes me back. One of the waitresses from Emerald has known me since before I was born and she even remembers the dish we used to order from the kitchen!
The red lion in the picture was very playful and it was very fun to see it taunt people. For instance, it headbutt me and tried biting an old lady at a table near us.
The performers worked really hard and they posed for so many pictures. I can’t even imagine how much cardio and strength it takes to do what they do, but they sure started the night with a bang!
